SCOPUS
In conventional school classes, students passively take classes without being the subject of learning. This way of teaching students to learn is limited by the absence of cultivating problem-solving skills based on scientific thinking, scientific inquiry ability, and comprehensive thinking ability. It is necessary to apply scientific knowledge through situations where science classes can be experienced in everyday life by breaking away from theoretical instructional education in school classrooms. Therefore, “science” activities based on the purpose of the 2015 revised integrated science curriculum can be instrumental in improving scientific cognition by collecting, interpreting, and evaluating data around them. For describing the motion of an object by force, we analyzed the motion of an object using a video analysis program to collect data and produce a graph. Two-dimensional collision experiments of two particles were video recorded and loaded into the analysis program. Physical variables such as the position and velocity of particles before and after the collision of the two rigid bodies could be produced. Regarding school education, herein, we discuss ways to promote the interest of students in learning physics experiments by describing the motion of objects and drawing them with graphs.
